Does Rocket Spanish Work?

Rocket Spanish can certainly work, if you are willing to put in the time and the effort to make it work.   There is a alot of material to go through.  None of it is difficult or complex and much of it is designed to be entertaining and fun but, nevertheless, you do have take time out and sit down and actually go through it.  You must commit yourself to at least an hour or two daily to go through all the lessons, listen to the audio, and work with the software games and other learning aids provided.  If you can commit to an hour or two a day, you will definately learn the basics of the Spanish language in a relatively short time period.

The big difference between a self-paced program and classroom instruction is that there is no one to push you to do the work if you are using a self-paced program such as Rocket Spanish.  There are no scheduled quizzes or exams and you are the only one who is going to see the results of the online quizzes you take.  With the outside pressure element missing, it is up to you to provide the motivation and follow through to get the course done.

One important thing to understand is that, although spending more time per day is not going to hurt, spending too little time daily will not work.  You need to develop a certain amount of  momentum when learning a new language.  If you are waiting too long between lessons, and therefore potentially forgetting material between lessons, the course cannot be effective.  The key is to be consistent.
